Priorities
My priorities as a school board trustee are to:
Support student success by maintaining high academic expectations while ensuring every student has the support and opportunities they need to succeed.
Recruit, retain, and support excellent educators and staff who are essential to strong schools.
Foster safe, respectful, and positive schools where students and staff are valued, supported, and ready to learn.
Prepare students for what comes next by strengthening pathways to college, careers, trades, technical programs, military service, and other opportunities.
Be responsible stewards of public resources through thoughtful financial decisions and long-term planning.
Practice good governance and clear communication by listening, asking thoughtful questions, being transparent, and working collaboratively.
I believe the school board's most important responsibility is to keep students at the center of every decision while building on the strong foundation FCSD #1 has established. We should protect what is working, continually look for ways to improve, and ensure our district has the excellent educators, resources, and vision needed to prepare every student for what comes next.
